Frank 2007 Recipient Minneapolis Public Schools Frank's Team is led by Chad Commers  My Name is Frank, I come from a family of 10 but while in Tanzania my cousin joined the family making it 11. I’m 13 years old. I like playing sports. My favorite sport is soccer. I like soccer because it’s a very powerful sport and is fun. My favorite kind of food is rice with coco cream and French tomatoes. I was born in Congo (a French speaking country) in August 13, 1993 on a Friday. At around age 3-5 I was playing around a hot pot of water and burned my leg. At around age 6 we moved to Tanzania where we lived behind the beach. My other cousin was not allowed in the water so we would throw some of my mom’s plates and have to go and swim to get them until the others got on our tracks and told us to go to the children’ pool. I like being cool with everyone as long as they don’t get in the way of my learning. I like having friends but not ones that will get me in trouble. I try to keep out of trouble the best was I can. -Frank Update Frank is an exceptional student with a strong sense of family, leadership, and community service. This academic year he has been tutoring students who are struggling with French, his native language. Cross Country skiing has also become a passion of Frank’s. This past winter he joined his school Cross Country Ski team and has competed in a number of races with them. |
